Breakfast with Santa @ Vandenberg AFB

Today we went to the Pacific Coast Club on base. Breakfast with Santa has been there for 12 years. Peyton wanted to see Santa. We ate breakfast first and then stood in line to see Santa. When we entered the room, she immediately clung to me like glue and cried. She would not go near him and would only accept a candy cane from him. So, we ducked to the side and took a picture near the Christmas tree...she knew he was still there.....
They also had crafts for the kids to do. Peyton made a paper Santa hat. She also got her face painted, which she didn't mind a stranger doing at all....I guess Santa's beard is the scary thing? All in all it was a fun family morning event and I am glad that the military has events for families like this one.

Yogathon Fundraiser

Lung Cancer Awareness is a major part of my life. It is such a misunderstood disease and so many people are not educated about the facts and how little funding research is getting. Below is the link to the website that is promoting our team, Mrs. California United States and my individual page for fundraising. Please consider joining us or donating to this great cause!

My Daughter the Ham!

Yesterday, my daughter insisted that she and I wear our "crowns" together. Her nana bought her a play crown for her birthday and she likes to wear hers while I wear my local titleholder crown. She has also become fascinated with the camera lately and loves to take pictures now. She of course has to say cheese and smiles very big! So, my husband took a couple of pictures of us yesterday in front of our Christmas tree. She really is so much fun! Two is a great age, but it can be a challenge as well.

Mrs. Central Coast United States 2011

I am excited to be preparing for the Mrs. California United States pageant. Already I have done some great things through the pageant. I attended the Miss Long Beach Pageant in November and cheered on the great Mrs. contestants. I have attended the pageant workshop that was held at the lovely Mrs. California United States 2008 home, Lisa Gandra. I look forward to attending more events in the months ahead and most excited about the Inagural Yogathon I will be participating in with the Mrs. CA United States director and current title holder, Libby Thomas. It will be in March and it will raise money for Lung Cancer research! My mom went through another round of chemo today and I pray each time that this will be the last and that a cure will be found soon.
